The Grundfos CM Booster Self-Priming is a compact booster pump designed for domestic and light industrial use. The booster unit consists of a robust multistage centrifugal pump and a generator friendly PM1 or PM2 pressure manager. The pressure manager allows the pump to start and stop automatically according to demand and protects the pump from dry running. The Pressure Manager 2 (PM2) also features adjustable cut-in pressure. The CM Booster Self-Priming is the perfect solution if you are struggling with insufficient mains pressure and with suction lift of up to 8 metres (self priming to 4 metres) the pump can also be used with above or below ground water sources.
The CMB-SP pumps wet components are all constructed from 304 stainless steel and both the pump and the Pressure Manager have been certified to comply with the Australian and New Zealand standard for products in contact with drinking water: ATS/NZ 5200.030 and AS/NZS 4020. Like its predecessor, the Grundfos CMB, the CMB-SP is one of the quietest pumps on the market.
Applications include mains boosting, household water supply, pumping from above ground water tanks and pumping from below ground water sources e.g. below ground tanks or dams. The Grundfos CMB-SP-1-36 complete with the PM1 Presscontrol is equivalent to the CMB1-4 and is ideal for single storey homes supplying 40lpm @ 150kpa.
